JOE PISCOPO, SOPRANOS, WEST WINGER AND NY PRODUCERS ON HAND FOR YOUNGER

New York, NY - On Monday June 19th, The Triad Theater hosted an
invitation
only Industry Reading of the new screenplay by Charles Messina and
James
MacPherson entitled �Younger�. On hand to perform in the reading was
actor/comedian Joe Piscopo, Sopranos� Robert Funaro and Lou Martini Jr.
and
TV Personality Bill Boggs.

In the audience was a virtual who�s who of NY film producers, including
Sonny Grosso (French Connection), Jeff Mazzola (Kiss Me Again) and
Josselyne
Herman (Anne B. Real). Also on hand was actor Richard Schiff (West
Wing).

Younger tells the story of a desperate man who believes he has found
the
�Fountain of Youth�, until he realizes the drug he has taken has an
undesirable side effect - it is irreversible! Unless he can stop the
effects
of the drug, he will continue to get younger, and younger, and
younger...

Younger reunites writer Messina (Mercury: The Afterlife and Times of a
Rock
God, Spy) and producer MacPherson (Prime Suspects, Spy) who
collaborated on
the soon to be released feature film Spy.

A Dream Night At The Triad With Tony Award Winner Adriane Lenox

The Triad’s New Broadway Series of Artists began with singer/actress, Adriane Lenox (2005 Tony Winner for “Doubt”) for two packed performances on Sunday, June 18th. Lenox and Triad General Manager, Lee Summers, had appeared together in the original Dreamgirls on Broadway; hence, the house was filled with fellow cast mates, such as Tony Nominee’s Brenda Braxton (Smokey Joe’s CafĂ©) and Obba Babtunde (Dreamgirls), both of whom are presently starring on Broadway in Chicago. Another Dreamgirls original present was TV icon, Phylicia Rashad, Tony Winner for A Raisin in the Sun -- along with Terri Burrell, Kecia Lewis-Evans and Jamie Patterson. Also in the house were Tony Winners for The Life, Lillias White and Chuck Cooper. Ann Duqesney, who won a composing Tony for Bring In Da Noise, Bring In Da Funk, reunited with co-composer, Lenox’ Musical Director and husband, Zane Mark. Also present were Michael McElroy (Tony nominee for Big River - who sang a James Ingram/Patty Austin duet with Lenox, causing her to swoon to the floor as he hit classic Ingram vocal licks) along with Felicia P. Fields (Tony nominee for “Miss Celie” in The Color Purple) and Brandon Dixon (Tony nominee for “Harpo” in The Color Purple). Also cheering Ms. Lenox on was Emmy Winner, S. Epatha Merkerson (Lackawanna Blues, Law and Order), Broadway notables, Billy Porter, Lou Myers, Kingsly Leggs, Virginia Woodruff, Robert Fowler, Stacey Sargent, Peter J. Fernandez, Doug Eskew, Adrian Bailey, Marva Hicks, Cleve Douglass, David White, Nora Coles, Harriet Foy, Glen Turner and David Robinson. The legendary director/choreographer, George Faison (The Wiz), choreographer, Ken Roberson (Avenue Q and All Shook Up), Hoagy Carmichael, Jr, Ron Eldard (Sleepers), Gina Malone (Step Mom) Pulitzer Prize Winner, Tony Kushner (Angels In America), Sandra Reeves Phillips (Lean On Me) and actress, Novella Nelson (Antwone Fisher) were also at the event. Lenox featured her daughter, talented and beautiful, singer/songwriter, Crystal Joy as her opening act. Celebrity Sightings At The Triad

We were honored to have such stars as Robert Deniro, Harvey Keitel, Cynthia Nixon, Vinny Pastori ("Big Pussy" on the Sopranos), Jason Robert Brown, Roberta Flack, Tracy Morgan (Saturday Night Live), Keenan Thompson(Fat Albert, Saturday Night Live) attending various shows at the Triad over the last few months.

TV Icon Kim Fields Hosts Triad Party June 3rd

Last Saturday night Kim Fields of "Facts of Life" and "Living Single" fame celebrated her boyfriend's(Christopher Morgan) birthday at the Triad. It was star studded event with a guest list which included Tony Nominee for "Smokey Joe's Cafe," Brenda Braxton, currently star of Broadway's "Chicago" and Marva Hicks of "Caroline Or Change." Hicks brought down the house singing to the happy couple, "At Last." Fields' next project is a one-woman show, slated for the Triad, written by Lee Summers, creator of Off- Broadway's "From My Hometown" (www.frommyhometown.net).
